11 years ago on 24th June, Thaddeus went home to be with our Lord. Today on 24th Jun 2018, which is also the Feast Day of St John the Baptist, we continue to celebrate Thad’s life and make our daily visit to Thad’s niche at St Francis Xavier Church where we recite the Rosary for him.
This year Thad’s 11th memorial run fell on the actual day and also a Sunday. We were privileged to be able to run at the new Raffles Institution (JC) stadium. The previous stadium is making way for a new highway.
We were pleasantly surprised and sincerely heartened at the turnout, which was more than 105 friends and relatives. We continue to welcome many first timers, all of them expressing inspiration and appreciation to be able to attend the run. Thank you all for the support you have given us year after year and most importantly, the love for Thaddeus.
Do continue to pray for him.
Grateful and thankful to be able to do this yearly memorial run for Thaddeus for the 11th time.
Thanks to Thaddeus’ ex-Triathlon coach Jerry Seah for mooting this memorial run in 2008.
On the same night of 24th June, in celebration of Thad’s return to his eternal home, we had dinner at DiWei Teochew restaurant. Fr Cary said grace, asking for blessings for Thaddeus and all who were present at the dinner.
