It’s Thad’s birthday!! He would have been 28 this year. We all wished Thad a very happy birthday at the stroke of midnight early this morning and we said hello to him at his niche as well.
Every year for the last ten years and including this year, we celebrate this special day, when Thad came into this world to be our son. Although he was with us for a short 17 years, we have enjoyed every moment with him. And we count down the days, when we will meet him again.
This year, we celebrated his birthday with close relatives and two special priests. Grandma, Ah Ee, Teoh Teoh, Benny, Jansen, Bennett, Reggie Ah Ee (also Godma), Matt Teoh Teoh (also Godpa), Theo, Father Cary and Father Adrian. Fr Cary said a special prayer for us, blessing each of us and remembering Thaddeus.
We dined at Diwei Restaurant and enjoyed Teochew specialties like cold crab, jelly pork, glutinous rice chicken, chai poh kway teow and steamed sweet potato and yam in honey.
