12 years ago on 24th June, Thaddeus went home to be with our Lord. Today on 24th Jun 2019, which is also the Feast Day of St John the Baptist, we continue to celebrate Thad’s life and attended mass at St Francis Xavier church. We have not been able to visit Thad’s niche as the columbarium is under renovation for two months since 1st June 2019. However, we took this picture at the niche (above) on 21st April in anticipation of this temporary closure.

The Straits Times Immemorial Ad
On 23rd June, Sunday we held Thad’s 12th memorial run at RI stadium. It was attended by 107 friends and relatives. We continue to welcome many first timers, all of them expressing inspiration and appreciation to be able to attend the run. First timers, Melissa and Augustine told us that many years ago, their elder daughter, now 16, used to play with Thad and Thom. This must have been when she was 3 or 4 years old.

We had dinner at Cheng Hoo Tian Teochew restaurant after the memorial run. It was attended by Mom, Lau Kim, Gloria, Reggie, Matthew, Lional, Claire, Jeremy, Benedicta, Jansen, Bennett, Jessie, Paul, Jennet, Francis, Alice, Nick, Aileng, Jacky. Fr Cary said grace.

In our Facebook post of Thad’s immemorium ad which we placed in the Straits Times on 24th June, we received over 34 likes.
Our friends and relatives continue to support and love us and we really appreciate it.
I wasn’t there to take part in the memorial run, but united myself in spirit with you all. This evening we had a procession of the Blessed Sacrament from St Joe’s Cathedral to Waterfront and back. Again I thought of the memorial run. I felt a strong sense of gratitude to Thad for using his own sacrifice, training to represent Singapore and meeting his unexpected death to bring me into the family – and I have been enjoying tremendous friendship and support from both of you.Thank you Thad and Thank you Angie and George. You have brought up a selfless son and that’s because you too are selfless in reaching out to others.
May God bless you all.Archbishop Emeritus of Kuching, John Ha

I prayed for you and your family today. May the comfort that Thad has reached the pearly gates and resting in the presence of God, comfort all your hearts. There Thad walks the field of fadeless green, where rivers of delight shall ever roll. There no tears shall dim the eyes, there raptures of heavenly hymns fill the air. It’s a perfect place for the redeemed child of God who is done on earth. May every remembrance of Thad bring us a new song to encourage us to run our earthly race well, for the glory of God. Out of your life, Jesus will shine.Amy Lim
