Remembering Thad
Heaven welcomed an angel called Thaddeus, 19 years ago on 24 June 2007. Thad was with us for 17 years and went to his heavenly home 19 years ago. Although time has passed, the pain is still present. But we know he's in a better place and one day, we will meet Thad again. Thad, we love you and will always miss you lots!
We visited Thad in St Francis Xavier’s Church in the afternoon on 24 June 2026.

We had lunch at Bangkok Jam in Great World City with Thom, Kim, Kendall, Fr Cary and Godma Reggie.
We remember Thad as we got together for the meal.

19th Memorial Run

Every year, for the past 19 years, we have celebrated Thad's time with everyone through Thad's Memorial Runs at the RI (JC) stadium. Our run this year, was held on Sunday 21 June 2026. Our relatives and friends have joined us every year wearing pink, always giving us their love and support.
Every RI/RJC Principal and Dean (CCA) past and present, have warmly and kindly allowed us to use the stadium, as it was where Thad used to run and train, as part of RJC's cross country team. We are forever grateful for this kind gesture. Thank you RI/RJC and staff!
This year, Thad’s 19th memorial run was attended by 77 friends and relatives. We are forever grateful and appreciative that there are still so many friends and relatives, who continue to love Thad and support us. We welcomed quite a few new babies this year. For the first time, Thad’s niece, Kendall came for the event and she enjoyed herself, with a small bit of ice cream, playing with a soccer ball on the astro turf and had fun dipping her hands in the ice cold water in the water coolers containing our drinks. Baby Christopher (Alvin’s and Kayleigh’s son) and Baby Kyra (Audrey’s and Ken’s daughter) and Baby Hope (Bennett’s and Mariel’s daughter) are first timer babies attending the event. Everyone had fun and expressed inspiration and appreciation to be able to attend the run.

Faith and Solomon having a good run.

This year, George completed his 5km run in 35:56.25.

Please scroll down to the bottom of the page for a link to all the other photographs, all so well taken by our friend and supporter Hon, our photographer.
We had dinner at Hualong Seafood after the memorial run. It was attended by Thom, Reggie, Matt, Pek, Betty, Felipe, Josh, Noelle, Margaret, Serene, Chung Hwa, Monica, Paul, Jennet, Francis, Jacky and Anna.

Our friends and relatives continue to support and love us and we really appreciate it.

You and your family are in My Heart and My Prayers everyday xxx
Dearest Kor. It's been 19 years but the memories of the day you left us still remains fresh in my mind. Life has been a roller coaster and I still wish you were on the ride with us. Am glad that there's still 1 day a year that everyone gets together to remember you (for me, the only day where I somewhat exercise 😅). We love and miss you very much. Heaven gained an angel and I hope to see you again real soon!
We continue to keep Thaddeus and you and your family in our prayers.
Thanks again for inviting me to participate in the memorial run for Thaddeus. It was nice to see such a big turnout. The event to remember Thaddeus is very meaningful.
Thank you for inviting me to Thad’s run since 2023 and this year is only my 2nd run ☺️. It’s a privilege to be part of this run to see and experience unspoken care and positivity that uplifts one! ❤️

Especially prayed for Thaddeus and for u all today. Will join the walking here myself in Rome. Do take care n God bless!
Today thinking of late Thaddeus , I say this prayer …
Dear God
Though 19 years have passed, since Thaddeus left this world into heavenly eternity suddenly, the love for him remains with his immediate family members (especially dad, mum and his brother, relatives, cousins and many more including his friends). For those who had been related to him closely, the memories of Thaddeus brought many joys of the past with him. Yet sadness and pain remain in the hearts and minds (especially his dad and mum) having missed him very much and by all of them too.
We thank you (dear God) for the gift of Thaddeus life, for the ways he had brought bonding within family members and friends. We trust that Thaddeus is enjoying peacefully in eternity, and that he can sense today in spirit that all of us who had known him are extending well wishes to him and that he continues to rejoice in heavenly eternity.
Amen.
Remembering Thaddeus with love and gratitude.

Paul’s Opening Prayer for Thaddeus’ 19th Memorial Run
“Good afternoon everyone. As we gather for the 19th year to honour and remember Thaddeus, let us take a moment to thank God for his life, pray for his family, and ask for God’s blessing and protection upon all of us as we participate in today’s memorial run.”
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Heavenly Father,
We gather here today with grateful hearts as family, relatives, and friends to remember Thaddeus. Though many years have passed since his passing, his memory continues to live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Lord, we thank You for the gift of Thaddeus’ life, for his energy, his determination, his love of sport, and the joy he brought to others. We thank You for the example of courage and commitment that he showed as a young athlete, and for the lasting bonds of friendship and love that his memory continues to inspire.
We pray for Thaddeus. Welcome him into the fullness of Your presence, where every tear is wiped away and where peace and joy have no end. May he rest in Your eternal love.
We also pray for his family, especially his father, mother, brother, sister-in-law and niece and all those who continue to carry him in their hearts. Bless them with comfort, strength, and the assurance that love is stronger than death, and that those who die in You are never truly lost.
As we prepare to take part in this memorial run, keep us safe from injury and harm. Bless our efforts, our fellowship, and our time together. May each step we take today be a tribute to Thaddeus’ memory and a reminder to cherish the precious gift of life.
Lord Jesus, You taught us that the greatest commandment is to love one another. May this gathering strengthen the bonds of friendship, family, and community among us, and may we continue to support one another with generosity and compassion.
We entrust Thaddeus, ourselves, and all our loved ones into Your loving care.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.
All: And let perpetual light shine upon him.
May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
All: Amen.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
